Almond Shortbread Cookies 4 Ways

Almond shortbread cookies taste amazing on their own but can be decorated with lots of different toppings and flavors for a fun and festive cookie that everyone in the family will love!

Start by mixing the dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar together and then add the other ingredients.

Add the dry ingredients to the rest of the mixture and combine until a soft dough forms.

Press the dough together and then cut into two pieces. Wrap and chill for about 30 minutes.

Once chilled, roll out the dough and cut out cookies. Gently peel away the surrounding dough and transfer cookies to a baking sheet.

Bake the cookies for about 8-11 minutes or until the edges start to turn a golden brown.

For the chai spice cookies, coat the unbaked cookie in the chai spice mixture. You can bake the cookies for the same amount of time as the uncoated cookies.
